Upcoming dates to remember for 2009 - 2010 

• Fri. Sept. 11 - Instrumental assembly for 4th grades - 9:00 A.M. in the music room
• Mon. Sept. 14 - Meeting for new band parents - 7:00 P.M. in the cafeteria
• Mon. Sept. 21 - Deadline for signups for new band members
• Sat. Nov. 21 - South Jersey Chorus auditions
• T.B.A. - Chorus tapes for Channel 40
• *Tues. Dec. 1 - After school marching practice - 2:30 - 3:30 (parental help needed)
• *Wed. Dec. 2 - Rain date for marching band practice  
• *Thurs. Dec. 3- Dennis Twp. Christmas Parade-7:00 P.M.-Meet at Dennis Twp. School 6:15
• +*Thurs. Dec. 17 - Holiday Concert - 7:00 P.M. - Meet at Middle Twp. P.A.C. at 6:15 P.M.
• Thurs. Jan. 14 - Ventnor Jazz Band Festival - Jazz Band only  
• Sat. Jan. 30 - All S.J. Band auditions - 9:00 A.M. - Southern Regional Middle School
• Sat. Jan. 30 & Sun. Jan. 31 - All South Jersey Chorus Concert
• Sun. March 7 - All S. J. Junior High Band Concert
• Sat. March 6  - Cape May County Honors Choir practice - Dennis Twp. Middle School
• Sun. March 7  - Cape May County Honors Choir Concert - Middle Twp. P.A.C.
• Sat. May 8 - All S.J. Elementary Honors Band Concert
• +*Mon. May 24 - Spring Concert - 7:00 P.M. - Meet at Middle Twp. P.A.C. at 6:15 P.M.

Dates marked with + involve all chorus members
Dates with *+ involve both chorus and band.

Please put all these dates on your calendar, as it is very important for our band and chorus members to attend all performances. The other dates do

not involve all band or chorus members. If your child is involved in these activities you will receive information well in advance of the activity.

Dress for the Christmas Parades will be:

Band sweaters, blue jeans, sneakers (comfortable shoes), & white shirts (turtle necks are preferable for the Christmas parade as it may be cold).

Band sweaters will be given out prior to the Christmas parade and should be returned by the Winter Break.  Please feel free to wash the sweater and

line dry it. If the letter is coming off please sew it back on.

Dress for all Concerts for band and chorus will be:

Black pants or skirts (No jeans), & white collared shirts or Turtlenecks (No T-shirts)

All Stage Band Members must have a white collared shirt as we wear bow ties. Jazz Band bow ties and suspenders will be given out and collected at

each performance. It is very important that your child have the proper clothes for each of our performances and your cooperation in this matter

is greatly appreciated.
