**HIGH PERFORMING**

OUR DISTRICT DESIGNATED "HIGH PERFORMING SCHOOL DISTRICT" Beginning with this school year one third of all the districts in the state were reviewed by the State Department of Education under a new monitoring system called The New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum.  Under this system a district is evaluated in five areas of school district effectiveness: instruction and program, personnel, fiscal management, operations and governance. This past fall a district team met to complete a self-assessment document for each of the five areas.  After these were completed, a team from the Executive County Superintendent's Office made a site visit to the district to verify the findings of our district team.  The County Office personnel sent their set of review documents to the Commissioner of Education for her review and final determination. On April 24th we received a letter from Commissioner Davy stating the following, "It is therefore my pleasure to designate your district as a "High Performing School District".   This is the highest designation a district can receive under this review process. As this is a comprehensive review of all the major function of the district we are rightfully proud of our Board of Education, administration, teachers and staff  who contribute on a daily basis to make us the fine school district that we are.

*PARTNERS IN PRINT*

PARTNERS IN PRINT is a program designed to assist parents in becoming trained partners as they support and encourage their child's reading development.  As part of a three-way partnership with parents, teachers, and children, we can help your child to develop to his or her full potential.  This program is conducted by Mrs. Sharkey and Mrs. DeVico.  Parents who have attended in previous years report the program is both helpful and fun.  Each night children will play games and complete activities that will help them learn to read.  Parents will get tips on helping their child.  Children will receive books to read and keep at home.  The program will be held in the Primary School Library from 6:00 - 7:30 on Thursday January 14, 21, 28 and February 4.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO & A SIGN UP FORM.
