NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR 6TH GRADE STUDENTS!
N.J.A.C. 8:57-4 has mandated the following vaccines for all NJ public school students:
1) Every child born on or after January 1, 1997 and entering 6th grade on or before September 1, 2008 shall receive one dose of Tdap (Tetanus, diptheria, acellular pertussis) given no earlier than the 10th birthday.
2) Every child born on or after january 1, 1997 and entering 6th grade on or after September 1, 2008 shall receive one dose of a meningococcal vaccine.
PLEASE SCHEDULE A DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT NOW TO HAVE YOUR CHILD'S
IMMUNIZATIONS UP TO DATE PRIOR TO THE 2008/2009 SCHOOL YEAR.
